The New Role:
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Lead Facilities Engineer to join us. You will lead our varied design and drafting work across civil, structural and mechanical projects as well as put in place the best engineering standards and processes for our world class facility.
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to GM Arnhem Space Centre & Engineering and working closely with Site Operations and Construction, you’ll lead the engineering design for the ongoing development of ELA’s Arnhem Space Centre. You will work closely with the Launch Team to understand requirements and ensure seamless facilities support for Launch Operations. You will also prepare scoping and specifications documentation for external engineering providers, develop ELA’s facilities engineering standards, processes, and capabilities and provide SME engineering discipline support across the business. All of this integral to support the development process for Arnhem Space Centre’s Phase 2 Master Plan.
What we are looking for:
Broad knowledge of design and development requirements for remote infrastructure and facilities.
Degree qualified in relevant Engineering discipline (eg. Civil, Mechanical or Chemical).
Chartered Professional Engineer or eligibility to apply.
+15 years in heavy engineering, oil & gas, defence or similar.
You don’t know the phrase “that’s not my job” and are a real “can do “ person. You’re fun and casual but very good at what you do.
You will be hardworking and a team player, looking to become part of a vibrant and supportive team.

Lead Construction Engineer

The New Role:
We’re going through an exciting period of growth and we are now looking for a Lead Construction Engineer to join us. The role is based in Adelaide but will require you to travel to site to ensure the smooth coordination and management of a wide variety of projects on which you’re working.
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to GM Arnhem Space Centre & Engineering and working closely with Site Operations, Engineering & Procurement, you’ll lead the planning and execution of fabrication, construction and site works for the ongoing development of ELA’s Arnhem Space Centre. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure a fit-for-purpose approach is carried through from concept to implementation.
You will also prepare scope and specifications documentation for materials, fabrication, and construction work tenders, manage construction and commissioning works in the field as required, develop cost estimates for capital projects and general site improvement works and assist with the development of in-house capacity for Site Operations to carry out maintenance and minor project works.
What we are looking for:
Broad understanding of challenges of remote area construction and proven record of success.
Experience integrating workshop fabrication, transport and site implementation.
Bachelor’s degree qualification in relevant Engineering discipline.
+15 years in heavy engineering, oil & gas, defence or similar.
Remote area experience.

Design Coordinator

The New Role:
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Design Coordinator to join us in a new role based in Adelaide office with travel to site as required. Reporting to the Lead Facilities Engineer, you will be carrying out varied design and drafting work across civil, structural and mechanical projects as well as coordinating deliverables with our external engineering providers.
What you’ll be doing:
In this role you will support the engineering design for the ongoing development of ELA’s Arnhem Space Centre. This will see you build the 3D model of our current facilities and develop it to support the Phase 2 Master Plan. You will also work across the business to provide mapping, modelling, and drafting expertise as required to support planning, development, and implementation.
On a day-to-day basis you will prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and work packages to support tenders for fabrication and construction, develop and manage ELA’s controlled drawings process and library, capture as-constructed data and build our site facilities and services model, as well as provide general project and technical support to help implement our site operations and related activities.
What we are looking for:
Highly proficient across industry standard design packages, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Proven experiences developing and implementing fit-for-purpose designs for remote infrastructure and facilities.
Qualifications in Engineering or related technical discipline.
+8 years’ experience in heavy engineering, oil & gas or defence.
